Topsort Appoints Umer Paracha as Head of Marketing

Accomplished retail media and marketplace expert Umer Paracha joins Topsort, bringing over a decade of experience in eCommerce and growth marketing for DTC & retail brands

Topsort, an artificial intelligence and auction-based retail media infrastructure company, today announced the appointment of Umer Paracha as its new Head of Marketing. Umer brings over a decade of experience in eCommerce, digital transformation, and retail media to the team in his new role. 

Umer’s diverse career spans leadership positions across industries, including his time as Director of Digital Marketing at Daraz.pk, where he scaled South Asia's largest marketplace from the ground up, driving orders per day from 0 to 10,000 before the platform’s acquisition by Alibaba in 2018. Umer also previously served as Director of eCommerce & Growth at Lansinoh Laboratories, a maternal health CPG band, where he grew the company’s eCommerce business from $40M to over $90M through a combination of omni-channel marketing strategies and data-driven retail media tactics. Prior to this, Umer spent two years at QIAGEN, a global biotech company, where he led digital business solutions and transformed traditional manual ordering systems into eCommerce-first platforms. 

Umer’s appointment comes on the heels of Topsort’s recently announced strategic partnership with Moloco, a leader in operational machine learning (ML) and performance advertising, and the company’s $20 million Series A funding round to further scale its clean advertising platform that’s free of third-party cookie tracking and privacy-invasive data. The raise sees the company valued at $150 million and was led by Upload Ventures and returning seed round investors, Quiet Capital and Pear Ventures.
